"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." Colossians 1:3-4
Something to Consider: Think of a rough time in your life, a time of affliction. What got you through it? Was your faith helpful? Was there someone God used to comfort you?
Something to Pray About: Ask God to use you to bring his mercy and comfort to someone in need. Ask him to open your eyes to the trials and hardships of those in your office, in your home, and on your street. Pray that God makes you the friend someone else is praying for.
Something to Put into Action: The greatest source of comfort is Jesus and the forgiveness, life and salvation that we find in him. Resolve to share that comfort with someone this week.
In Christ,
