Yesterday I asked you if you have ever felt out of place in the world, like you just didn't fit, life you were meant for someplace else. Jesus warns that those who feel totally at home in the world are those who have no interest in the tings of God. He also taught that those who hunger and thirst for God will find this world disappointing.
As Christians, you and I are like dolphins born in captivity. We've never known anything but the tank, but deep down we know we were meant for something else, something more, something we can't quite imagine but know must be out there. Dolphins are made for the open sea. You and I are made for the new heaven and new earth Jesus will give us when he comes again.
