Looking for a great family opportunity to share Jesus with others? You can spread God's love and provide an opportunity for a child in need to hear the Gospel by packing Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoebox gifts!

The mission of OCC is to demonstrate God’s love to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with local churches worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, and since 1993, more than 188 million children in more than 170 countries and territories have received an OCC shoebox. For many children, this was the first gift they ever received.

While any shoebox will work well for a shoebox gift, Peace has a supply of official OCC shoeboxes and labels available totally free of charge, first come, first serve, at the Operation Christmas Child display tables in the lobby during the month of October..

Simply follow these simple directions on How to Pack a Shoebox at this link. 

Then return your shoebox to a Samaritan’s Purse collection box at Peace prior to or before Sunday, November 17.

Peace is excited to partner with Samaritan’s Purse this year as an official Drop-Off location. Individuals, community organizations and local churches will be coming to our drive-through drop-off event during National Drop-off Week November 18 - 25, after which all the boxes packed will start on The Journey of a Shoebox (samaritanspurse.org)! Opportunities will be available for volunteers to assist in greeting donors and collecting their boxes from their vehicles during our drop-off event that week. A sign-up poster will be in the lobby for individuals interesting in serving in this mission project.
