Mondays with Marty 11/25/18

Friends,

For no reason at all, this verses from Isaiah keeps coming to mind:

"Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow."  Isaiah 1:18

Something to Ponder:  It sounds so poetic, but it took the ugliness of the cross, the agony of Jesus, his last breath, his lifeless body laid in a tomb.  He did that for you.  Do you take it for granted, or does it take your breath away?

Something to Pray About: Thank Jesus for Easter, for the resurrection, for the hope of a new world, a new way of life.  Ask him to grow that life within you so that it transforms your heart and mind into his image.

Something to Put into Action: Who has sinned against you?  Though that sin is red as scarlet, can you cover it with the mercy of Jesus?  God sent his Son to suffer and die on the cross so that your sins could be blotted out, could go from scarlet to white as snow.  With his help, extend that mercy to someone else.

In Christ,

Pastor Marty
