Below are foundational doctrinal beliefs that we hold true and practice:

WE BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE

The Bible is God’s Word for all people. It is inspired by God, without error, and relevant to our daily lives. (2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Isaiah 40:8)

WE BELIEVE IN THE TRINITY

Three in One. God is eternal, and exists as one God in three persons- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19; Luke 1:35, 3:22; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

WE BELIEVE IN GOD, THE FATHER

God is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, worthy of our trust, and holy. In Him we live, move, and exist. God is good, loving, compassionate, faithful, and keeps His promises. (Genesis 1:1, Psalm 90:2, 1 Corinthians 1:9)

WE BELIEVE IN JESUS, THE SON

Jesus Christ is completely human and completely God. He lived a sinless life, died on our behalf, defeated death in His resurrection, and will come again. (Romans 6:23, 1 John 4:10, John 14:6)

WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit works within people to draw them to faith in Jesus, and to empower them to live God-pleasing lives. (1 Corinthians 12:3, Titus 3:4-7, John 14:26, John 16:13)

WE BELIEVE IN MAN

Man is made in the image of God, and was created to live in relationship with God. Man’s sinful disobedience broke that relationship, and it cannot be mended by human effort. Every human is uniquely created and of infinite worth. (Genesis 1:27, Isaiah 53:6a, Romans 3:23)

WE BELIEVE IN SALVATION

Salvation is a free gift of God offered to all who place their faith in Jesus, whose death and resurrection are the only source of forgiveness and life. (John 3:16, Acts 4:12, Romans 8:9, Ephesians 2:8-9)

WE BELIEVE IN THE CHURCH

The Church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. The church is committed to obedience, worship, prayer, and to take the good news to the world. (Acts 2:41-47; 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:11-16)

WE BELIEVE IN BAPTISM

The Baptism is a means of grace through which God grants spiritual rebirth. (John 3:3-5, Mark 16:16)

WE BELIEVE IN COMMUNION

The Lord’s Supper is a means of grace and a meal of remembrance that strengthens our faith as we receive Christ’s body and blood in, with, and under the bread and wine. (1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25)
