Friends,
God bless you!
"Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure." Philippians 2:12-13
These words from Paul's letter to the church in Philippi tell us to work out the implications of our relationship with Christ in every area of our lives. Paul also tells us that both the desire to do this and the actual success are the result of God's work going on within us.
Something to Ponder: Are there areas of your life where you have not worked out the implications of your relationship with Jesus? In other words, are there areas of your life where you are living more like an unbeliever?
Something to Pray About: Ask Jesus to show you if there are areas of your life your haven't yielded to him. Ask him to make you willing to accept whatever he shows you. Ask him to make you willing to yield to his Lordship with nothing held back.
Something to Put into Action: Ask someone you love and trust to tell you the truth about yourself. If there are areas of your life you have not given to Jesus, your closest friends and family will know. Take a deep breath. Say a prayer. Ask them. Accept whatever they tell you. Take it to Jesus, and let him have his way.
In Christ,
Pastor Marty
